Six years ago, I was in Southwest Colorado photographing some of the state’s most scenic byways. While exploring the corner near Mesa Verde, we stayed at this very hotel.

Fast forward to today — and I’m back. This time behind the camera, capturing it on behalf of Got You Looking.

At Baymont Inn & Suites Cortez, the story starts in the sky. A drone lift frames Mesa Verde on the horizon. Twilight tones warm the façade. Inside, we refined compositions in the Double Queen and King Suite guest rooms, highlighted the inviting lobby, fitness center, and indoor pool — all designed to help future guests feel the stay before they arrive.

Hospitality photography is about more than rooms. It’s about perspective. And sometimes, that perspective comes full circle.

Grateful for the journey — and the opportunity to create imagery with an impact in places that once inspired me as a traveling photographer.
